What Information We Collect
- Information You Provide: We ("Catholic Outpost" or "We" or "Us" ) may ask for your address, parish, name, credit card number, email address, phone number or other pertinent similar information at the time of registration or purchase. This information allows you to take full advantage of the Catholic Outpost website, ship items to you, inform you of your order's status and notify you of special events at our website.
- Automatically Collected: We automatically collect other typical web traffic information such as IP address, browser type, platform and operating system that you use when visiting Catholic Outpost. These items help us improve our services but do not tell us anything personal about you.
- Cookies: We use cookies in numerous ways to support many of the basic functions of the website. If you block or turn off cookies in your browser you may not be able to fully use Catholic Outpost.
How We Use Your Information
The personal information that you provide us is not shared with other parties except in the following situations:
- Your Profile Page: You are able to control in your Account Settings what information from your Catholic Outpost profile is shown to other people on your profile page. Your physical address or email address are never shown on your profile.
- Sellers: When you buy a product from one of our sellers in the Catholic Outpost Marketplace, usually your contact information and address are provided to that seller. This is because all interaction after that point including refunds, product support and shipping are all done between you (the customer) and the seller. However, your credit card information is never provided to the seller by us.
- Law Enforcement: Obviously, in order to comply with the law and to enforce our policies we may be required to provide personal information to law enforcement officials if we are required to do so.
The frequency and events that cause email notices to be sent to you can be configured in your Account Settings.
Some actions on Catholic Outpost will automatically send emails to you. Usually these actions are registration, group or account cancellations, and use of the ADFAITH network and Catholic Outpost Marketplace. Additionally, we will occasionally send out messages to all registered users of Catholic Outpost for important communication.
Underage Customers
We require that all members of Catholic Outpost be at least 14 years old. However, users must be at least 18 years old in order to join the ADFAITH network or participate in the Catholic Outpost Marketplace.
These policies are subject to change. We will send out email notices if they do but please check occasionally to make sure that you are informed of any changes.
Security
Protecting Your Personal Information
All sensitive personal information you submit to us is sent using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or similar encryption technology. This technology prevents your information from being read as it is transmitted over the internet. This encrypted data is stored in a restricted-access server.
Passwords
In order to further protect your personal information we require the use of a password when accessing your account on Catholic Outpost. We recommend that you use a password greater than 6 characters and is made up of both numbers and letters.
If you forget your password you can click the "forgot password?" link on the login screen. Enter your registered email address and your password will be sent to that account.
To change your password, first log in to your account and then select the "Change Password" option in your Account settings.
